Here is the first of the random pictures I took of Headstones in Clayton Parish Church. The headstone is that of John Small, his wife Ann and their son John.

John Small
For many years clerk of this parish and of Keymer who died through an accident Nov 7th 1860 aged 46 years
Also of Ann his beloved wife
Died Dec 13th 1886 Aged 76 Years
John their son died
April 30th 1842 Aged 2 years

John Small was born about 1814 in Clayton Sussex where he was the parish clerk.
He was married to Ann born about 1810 in Sussex.
Their children were
Jane born 1836
Ann born 1838
John born 1840
William born 1842 in Keymer
Bartholomew born 1845 in Clayton
Stephen born 1847 in Clayton
They lived in Keymer in 1841 and in Clayton in 1851.
