The Church of St Laurence

IMG_0013.JPGOn the road between Catsfield and Henley Down at the top of a hill stands the church of St Laurence. It is of 13th century build with a tower and is surrounded by headstones dated about 1800 and earlier, most of which are difficult to read. If you go down the steps to the road and then head across, you will notice a gate leading to the rest of the cemetery which has gravestones of a later date.

There are a number of memorials inside the church of the Brassey family who lived at Catsfield Place and of John Fuller the uncle of Mad Jack Fuller.
